Warren, Oregon, United States
Distinguished by a thoughtfully routed layout that weaves directly into Oregon’s rugged coastal terrain, The Roots DGC opens with a unique challenge. Opened in 2025, this permanent eighteen-hole course trades flatland routing for a dynamic elevation profile, challenging players with gentle upslopes and natural tree canopies that frame each fairway. The design encourages strategic shot selection, rewarding those who adapt to ever-shifting Pacific Northwest weather patterns. Playing here feels like a journey through the landscape, where mature Douglas firs and coastal brush create intimate corridors demanding precision over raw power. The permanent metal baskets anchor each hole, offering reliable targets while the undulating ground keeps every approach shot interesting. Though still fresh to the scene, the course quickly earns praise for its balanced mix of technical fairways and open landing zones, delivering a consistently engaging round for every skill level.
